Summary:
This study offers a preventive maintenance scheduling model for an offshore wind farm in a deregulated power system while distinguishing between each wind turbine. The model is a bi-level programming which is transformed into a single-level programming by applying Karush-Kuhn-Tucker conditions. Multiple constraints such as transmission limitation, maximum available power for each power plant, wind and wave height limitations, three maintenance mediums (two boats and one helicopter) and their characteristics, wake effect, work shifts, integration of condition monitoring systems and unexpected failure rates are considered. In order to demonstrate applicability of the proposed model, several case studies are defined.
